南篠崎児童遊園の桜 kids park

南篠崎児童遊園には、珍しい種類の桜が咲いています。

その中の2本の桜をご紹介します♪

There are some kinds of Sakura trees in the Minamishinozaki-jidoyuen park.
So I inform you two kinds of them.(^^)

ウコン（鬱金）

花がウコンの根茎を使って染めた色に似ているので、ウコンと言う名がついた。

淡黄緑色という独特な花色のため、欧米でも植えられている。

Ukon
Japanese word Ukon means turmeric but this name is not. This Sakura cherry is named Ukon because the color of the flowers are similar to the turmeric powder. This tree seems to be popular in Europe and USA because of the color.(^^)

ギョイコウ（御衣黄）

もと東京の荒川提で栽培されていた。

花は全体にごく淡い緑色で部分的に濃緑色のすじが入る。特異な花の色であるため珍しがられ、広く栽培されている。

Gyoikou

They were planted on the Arakawa river bank before. The flower color is rare so is planted other many places.(^^)
